Heatwave was the very first of what became the collection: 'What the Sun touches'.

Every morning, I would come up to my studio and watch the sunrise. Hues of blue, pink, red, orange and yellow beamed into my studio, hitting the wall. This gave me an instant inspiration. My goal was to put those gradient colours on a canvas. To capture the night going into day. From dark blues, to deep reds and golden sun rays.

Heatwave shows exactly that.
